Peformance
Built with a 16k CPI Pixart optical sensor with a zero to none chance of lag, the Cooler Master MM711 grants you the power to aim down sights and eliminate your opponents with the drop of a dime; Talk about “sharpest blade”. The “handle” is very exceptional, as well. Compatible with either a claw, palm, or a fingertip grip (better to use fingertip or claw, if you have larger hands; This mouse is a bit small), the MM711 will prove to be incredibly comfortable in your hand; whether you’re right or left handed, given the mouse is ambidextrous.
It also provides you with minimal amounts of fatigue, and less strain and pain to your wrists, offering you more hours of life in your gaming sessions. As for it’s “swing”, weighing at just 60g, offering you lots of movement opportunity, the MM711 boosts your aiming ability and offers quicker reaction time.
It also comes with low-friction mouse feet, built with more than 95% of PTFE, giving it a nice glide, and top-tier responsiveness. With this mouse, not only will you be able to flow as freely as a butterfly, but also hit like Rhinoceros.
From the mouths of many streamers, the MM711 handles very, very well in-game. With phrases such as “S-tier” and “it’s a keeper”, pro-gamers, all over youtube, have shown their love of this mouse. And watching them play the most popular FPS games on their streams with this mouse, and seeing how smooth they play, should offer enough visual testimony for you to see just how “sharp” this baby is.
When using the mouse, gamers have been able to respond to fast-paced situations a lot faster, mow down foes with no delayed movement, and just ultimately outclass their opposition. The Style
The Cooler Master MM711 comes in a variety of different colors, but we ended up going with the glossy white version. There are four options in total:
- Matte Black
- Glossy Black
- Matte White
- Glossy White
Each option looked appealing, but we wanted the white aesthetic. The matte versions will look less shiny.
The shape of the mouse looks simple and minimalistic. The balance of black and white colors looks quite appealing. When you mix in the honeycomb and RGB lighting, the whole design comes together.
The honeycomb is different than on most mice. The design is more oval-shaped, which adds a unique element. Most honeycombs are the same size related to the width and height.
On the front end of the mouse, there is a slight overhang where the body protrudes further than the base. I enjoy the look of this. The mouse sharp angles in the front add a nice offset to the rounded shape of the mouse.
The white cable also accents the color of the mouse which is nice.
When it comes to the style, this mouse has it dialed in.

The Cooler Master MM711 has a total of 6 buttons out of which 2 are placed on the left side of the mouse. There are no buttons on the right side of the mouse making this mouse suitable for only right-handed people.
The scroll wheel of the mouse has RGB lights placed below it which enhances its look and is rubberized which ensures a good grip on it.
Cooler Master has offered Omron switches for the left and right-click of this mouse. These switches are well known for their comfortable and satisfying click sound.
The mouse has a polling rate of 1000Hz and it offers a tracking speed of 400 IPS which allows it to quickly respond during the gameplay. It has a lift-off distance of <~2 mm. The mouse offers a max DPI of 32,000 which is more than enough for most of the games today.
The mouse comes along with software which the company likes to call the Cooler Master MasterPlus+. This software offers a lot of customization options that allow you to set multiple DPI presets, RGB customizations, set macros, and more.
The software also offers settings like Angle Snapping, altering Lift-Off distance, changing Angle Tunability, and changing OS Sensitivity.

Differences Between Sizes And Variants
The Cooler Master MM711 has both glossy and matte variants in black and white, as well as several limited-edition colorways, including retro, sakura, wilderness, golden red, and blue steel. Some of the limited edition colorways are only available directly on CoolerMaster’s website or through specific retailers. While not a variant, the Cooler Master MM710 is a nearly identical mouse but without RGB lighting. The unit we tested is the glossy white variant, and you can see our label here.

Right out of the box, the MM711 looks like a high-quality mid-tier gaming mouse. The honeycomb design is simple and allows for the colored elements to shine through at the base of the mouse along with the scroll wheel. Cooler Master claims that the MM711 weighs under 60g, and although I didn’t weigh it, the mouse feels incredibly lightweight and comfortable to hold in a claw grip.
The coating on the mouse also assists in making the grip feel comfortable and effective. It’s sleek enough to allow for uninhibited finger movement across the buttons, while still showcasing a tactile grip that keeps the mouse firmly in hand. Possibly the only gripe I have about the design is the arch of the base of the mouse. It’s a bit bigger than I’d like and I could see it causing wrist problems on longer play sessions, especially when using a claw or finger grip. It was a non-issue during my testing, I think because I found myself angling the mouse to the right when playing. Nevertheless, I could see the prominent arch causing some discomfort for certain hand sizes and grip styles.
Additionally, with the mouse coming in at such a reasonable price point, the material of the mouse itself is a bit concerning. While it feels good to hold and it being so lightweight is a major benefit, the plastic material does come off as a bit flimsy. It may be sturdier than it appears, but I fear with enough pressure applied to the sides of the mouse — especially near the left two buttons — it would crack.
Oddly enough, the thing that impressed me the most on initial inspection is the ultra-weave cable. It is extremely flexible, stylish, and with it being extra long, it allows for greater versatility. It’s possibly the best looking and highest quality stock cord I’ve seen on a gaming mouse. I could see it really making a major difference when gaming on different surfaces and with setups that require me to sit further away from the computer.
