We’ve touched on some Sennheiser products in the past, most notably the PC 373D and the GSX 1000, both of which had a polished quality of the highest level. That same attention to detail, the crisp, clean, and sturdy finish, is present on the Sennheiser GSP 370. It’s an expensive headset, but its quality matches that price and the slick black design looks great.
Overall, the Sennheiser GSP 370 Wireless Gaming Headset is a fantastic addition to the audio library of any gamer. Sennheiser’s reputation for delivering top quality audio continues and with up to 100 hours of battery life, you won’t find a better quality wireless headset at this price.

Logitech G335
Razer Kraken V3 X
Hyper GSX-2000 Schumann
Microphone
Relatively quickly, we find the unidirectional microphone to be the headset’s greatest weakness. The microphone arm can be bent forward or backward. The ear cup mount blocks the microphone so it can’t be folded all the way up.
With the GSP 370, the microphone does not move up any further.
Before I make a great attempt to describe the microphone quality, it’s best you listen to it yourself:
To advertise the microphone with “studio quality”, I find somewhat exaggerated. Sennheiser should actually know what that means. We rate the microphone as only average.
Design & Features
Sennheiser GSP 370
The headset itself is minimalistic, it does not have a crazy design to it. It’s mainly black and grey and it’s quiet. I like the buttons on the side are easy to get to and there’s really not many of them. You’ll find on the right ear cup, it has an infinite scrolling volume wheel so you can easily turn your volume up or down, it even has little steps in it, it’s almost like tactile. So, you can feel yourself lowering or raising the volume. On the left ear cup, you’re going to find the micro-USB charging port and on and off switch as well as a LED indicator. Also, on the left ear cup you’re gonna have the microphone.
Even though it is made mainly of plastic it feels very durable and just simple which I like it’s just simple, you have just a few buttons that you need.
You will get few things with the headset in the box. Those are wireless USB connector for your computer which you are going to need as well as a charging cable, the charging cables fairly long and micro USB, so for those of you that wanted a USB C connection, it’s still using micro USB.
Steelseries Arctis 7
These are completely wireless with a lag free wireless audio and the headset connects to a USB powered wireless dongle with a 2.4 gigahertz frequency with a range up to 12 meters for 40 feet. The headset rocks the s-1 speaker drivers with an acclaimed DTS 7.1 surround sound exclusively on PC. Surround sound is not available on Mac, Xbox, ps4, VR or other devices.
The headset control buttons are located on the bottom of the headset which includes a mute button for the mic, volume dial for the speakers, a chat mixed dial which adjusts the volume between the ingame volume and the chat volume which works on PC and Mac exclusively. This even come with a downloadable software to adjust voice settings which I’ll get to in a little bit.
These are well-built, the outside of the cups have a rubberized surface that don’t really creak or squeak when I squeeze them. The top band is made out of aluminum and it is a truly lag.
Bottom line
End of the day, I still wish Sennheiser would rethink its design language. Boring, boxy, and corporate. These are the charges I’ve leveled at the GSP line for years now, and nothing’s changed. Sennheiser’s certainly got the audio chops to challenge Corsair, Razer, and even Logitech. But the GSP line is bland, if not outright ugly, and a far cry from Sennheiser’s more mainstream headphones like the Momentum 3 or many of its HD-branded models—or even its alternative gaming headset, the all-but-abandoned Game Zero.
The GSP 370 scores major points for its battery life. Hell, it’s a minor miracle. And it sounds great too! I only wish the aspects I liked came in a more attractive package. Alas, maybe next time.

The bottom line
So, the Sennheiser GSP 370 is a bit of a disappointment, especially given its price point. There are too many shortcomings in its build and software to overlook. However, it does its one critical job – playing crystal clear audio in games and movies – exceptionally well.
I’m not a fan of the headset’s design, but I can appreciate how its virtual surround sound completely immersed me into the gaming experience. Nuanced sounds like footsteps and the environment came through clearly.
But on the other hand, there are plenty of wireless gaming headsets on the market of comparable quality that offer more features for the same price or less. They might not feature the incredible battery life or signal range, but it’s a trade-off that might be worth considering.
Design
The GSP 370 looks fairly unassuming for a gaming headset, with a black-and-gray plastic build that eschews any bright colors or lights. The loudest part of the design is the white Sennheiser logo on either side of the headband. The headband is all plastic, which keeps the headset light but lacks some of the sturdiness you get in aluminum and steel competitors. The underside of the headband is padded with comfortable memory foam, covered in a breathable mesh fabric.

The oval earcups are covered in faux leather and house memory foam earpads. They’re a bit narrow, and while I had no problem wearing the headset, you might find your ears a little pinched if they’re on the large size.
Similar Products
The left earcup holds the flip-down boom microphone, a capsule mounted on a mostly plastic arm with a flexible rubber strip that can be bent forward or backward to adjust mic position. A micro USB port for charging sits on the bottom edge of the earcup, along with a power/pairing switch and a status LED. The right earcup sports a large volume dial where the pivoting joint for the boom mic is on the left earcup. It’s a big, friendly way to adjust volume, but it’s also the only control option on the headset; there are no voice/chat mixing options or mic volume adjustments, aside from automatically muting the microphone by flipping the arm up.
The included wireless receiver is a simple USB adapter with a black plastic body featuring the Sennheiser logo. It has no buttons or lights and sits unobtrusively in any free USB port on your computer or PlayStation 4. The GSP 370 lacks a place to store the small dongle when not in use and doesn’t feature a wired option.
According to Sennheiser, the headset can last up to an impressive 100 hours before you have to charge it.
Can you Hear me, Major Tom?
Sennheiser is pretty well known by now for delivering when it comes to audio quality. Despite this not being from the company’s premium range, the Sennheiser GSP 370 doesn’t fail to impress, at least in the expectations you can have for one of their more budget options. The design of the headset means you’ll never need to raise the volume over fifty per cent. The earcups don’t cut out a huge amount of background noise but do enough that you’ll never find yourself struggling to hear what’s being played to you. Combined with a decent volume setting, the rest of the world just disappears.
Granted, you’re not going to find yourself with audiophile levels with the headset, but there’s still a lot to praise here. Combined with the Sennheiser Audio Suite, you’ll find a range of settings and adjustments you can make to find a great level for whatever game, music or show you’re listening to. One thing that needs to be said is that the Sennheiser GSP 370 has a decent level of clarity, with a headset that can deliver the highs and lows you’ll find throughout. Granted, there are moments where some elements can get lost in the mix. The inevitable question of «does it sound good?» has a simple answer: Yes, it sounds great.
One area which doesn’t seem to be any lower than that of Sennheiser’s premium range is the microphone, which offers a great level of clarity and blocks out a decent level of background noise. While it is permanently attached to the headset, it’s both surprisingly bulky and flexible and activatable only when you lower the microphone to head level, raising it keeps it tucked against the headset.
In-use
There aren’t a lot of controls for Sennheiser’s GSP 370 wireless headphones, and it’s a fairly straightforward installation, too.
Remember the whole idea behind “plug and play” being that you plug it in to play with it? Well that’s pretty much what Sennheiser has built here.
Simply plug in the USB dongle the GSP 370 arrives with, and your headset should be good to go. It’s a standard USB (Type A) plug, so if your computer is so new that it only has the Type C ports, you’ll need to bring your own converter, and there’s no other way to connect to these. Really, it’s Sennheiser’s Type A plug or nothing.
However computers check into it quite quickly, though it’s clear Sennheiser is a little more friendly to Windows computers than a Mac. There’s a little sound software package Sennheiser has made that adds surround sound capability and some noise cancellation for the microphone, but it’s only available for Windows PC. Sad face.
Regardless of whether you use Sennheiser’s software to trigger sound presets or just the built-in driver on your computer (Mac users don’t get a choice), you should find a volume dial on the right side of the headphones just below the cup. That’s a neat way to let you dial in or back the volume all too easily, and is a handy inclusion.
Outside of this, there’s simply wearing the Sennheiser GSP 370, which despite their otherwise large and cumbersome design tends to deliver a comfort we appreciate over long periods of working, writing, and even a bit of gaming. Big plushy ear pads offering a circumaural design are a highlight, providing a seal from the outside world and little pressure that we could feel from the headband construction. These headphones are what we’d call comfortable for sure.
Solid Sound, Few Features
The Sennheiser GSP 370 headset is a joy to use whether listening to music on your computer or mobile device. Audio quality is acceptable for games, however it lacks directional imaging and the microphone does not have a pop filter. The sound quality of wired gaming headphones like the Astro Gaming A40 TR + MixAmp and HyperX Cloud Mix is superior, but for the price, this one sounds amazing!. While the Cloud Mix has Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in mixing amplifier, the GSP 370 lacks these features. Additionally, there is no connected connection with the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless model (which also has Bluetooth and a transmitter that doubles as a mixer). There may be other options for those who don’t play games on Windows 10, but this is a good start.
Head Set.
AptX Low Latency.
Battery
While the design means they’re not likely the type of headphones you’re going to want to wear outside, the Sennheiser GSP 370 still comes with a pretty solid battery, boasting up to 100 hours of life.
The reality of that is pretty much one where you won’t have to charge it for weeks — genuine weeks — provided you stick to using it for only a few hours a day. At one point, we realised the GSP 370 hadn’t been charged for a good two weeks, the battery was that good.
It’s a staggering result, and one that keeps you away from a microUSB port for charging, and yet close enough to your computer without needing a cable.
EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 Review – Design and Functionality
The attractive and useful features EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP has made this product the best value for money. But before we dive further into its key features, let’s check out the headset’s look and basic functions.
The EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 has wireless lag-free reliable audio for gamers and enthusiasts. It has a smaller frame and lighter clamping force for better comfortability. The headset is also comfortable for people who wear glasses.
Trying out the headset, the EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370’s design feels comfortable to wear and doesn’t wobble when shaking your head.
The EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 is equipped with German-engineered 40mm drivers. These provide exceptional sound clarity for gaming and productivity.
It’s also paired with earmuffs that are made from velvet material combined with a leather body for the exterior. This provides a tight seal for better passive sound isolation, balanced but present bass for a more immersive experience.
Also looking into the silhouette of the EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 headset, dark tones and premium looking plastic material is used. Colour-wise the EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 is a minimalistic, premium modern-looking wireless gaming headset.
Moreover, the 2.4ghz wireless USB dongle is also designed to look premium. The EPOS logo is also printed on the wireless USB dongle that marks the proper alignment for USB ports.
Let’s now discuss the build quality of the EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370. Everything is made from premium plastic to keep the weight down. At the same time, it also retains its robust form factor.
The adjustable headband is reliably strong. Build quality and durability of the EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 is really noticeable at first glance.
Furthermore, the EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 has a massive non-removable boom mic. The microphone is noise-cancelling and can mute when flipped upright.
It is clear enough for party chat, Discord calls, TeamSpeak, Playstation Party, Skype conferences and other modern in-game voice communication programs.
We also checked out the sides of EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 wireless gaming headset. Here, we can see the power slider of the headset on the lower left of the ear cuffs. It also has the micro USB port for charging, and power led strip for visibility.
Checking the middle right side of the headset, we can see a massive volume wheel that has tactile clicks. The volume wheel has an increment of 2% per tactile click.
Now, let’s go to the key features part of our EPOS|SENNHEISER GSP 370 review.
Design
When it comes to the design of the GSP 370 Wireless Gaming Headset, it reminds me of the GSP 302 I reviewed a few years ago. A design change wasn’t necessarily needed as they still look good. It does have a few updates including giving the headset more durability and tweaking how it may look and adding even more comfort.
On the left side of the headset, you’ll find the adjustable noise-canceling microphone stem that can be moved up or down depending if you’re wanting to chat with some friends or place yourself on mute for a while. Under the microphone is the power slider, Micro-USB charging port, and an LED strip that changes color to let you know where the battery life is at. As far as the right side goes, the only thing you find is the volume wheel that rotates easily when used.

Moving up the sides of the headset, you’ll see Sennheiser’s logo twice on each side. One is on the side of the headphones where you can adjust them to fit on your head and the other is towards the top where the headband is. The earcups transition from leather to suede-like material which is stitched nicely together, giving you as much comfort as possible. The headband area has even more comfort thanks to the extra memory foam Sennheiser has added to reduce pressure when you’re gaming for long periods of gaming.
The USB dongle is pretty much designed like a USB drive but with the Sennheiser logo slapped on one side. There’s also the included-Micro USB cable for charging that’s pretty standard and black in color.
Overall, I very much do like the design and comfort of the GSP 370 Wireless Gaming Headset. Keep in mind that you may deal with the same issue I did with the headset is that they will feel a little tight at first since they haven’t been used. Once you’ve worn them for a bit and broken them in, you should be good to go.
Design & Software
Design
The GSP 370 feature a very stock standard Sennheiser-look, and when I first held them in hand, I noticed that they were a lot lighter than I first anticipated. The weight wasn’t too light where you’re led feel like the headset is cheap — it was the perfect amount where it’s still light but still feels premium (285g). Sennheiser | EPOS has touted that the headset can give a user 100 hours of audio without needing to charge, and I can certainly confirm that this statement is accurate as I barely needed to charge the GSP 370’s throughout the time I was testing it.
16
Not only does the GSP have ridiculously good battery life, but it also has a super long range. The box states that the headset has 10 meters of range from the dongle, and I verified this by walking out the back of my house to an estimated 10 meters. The connection held strong, which made the GSP 370’s one of the longest range headsets I’ve ever tested. As for the earcups, the D-shaped design that Sennheiser | EPOS has gone for really emphasizes noise cancellation as the tension of the headset really holds the earcups tightly to your head.
While the GSP 370’s are certainty a tight-fit gaming headset, the cushions that it’s equipped with make the all-around wearing experience very enjoyable. Sennheiser | EPOS has kept the functionality on the earcups to a minimum with only a micro-USB charging port, power on/off switch, volume dial, and a power/pairing indicator LED. Since the GSP 370 is also aimed at console gamers, I would have liked to have seen the inclusion of voice/chat mixing or microphone volume options, as well as earcups that swivel.
Overall, the design of the GSP 370’s is very minimal but quite sleek. While I love the aesthetics of the headset, and the functionality options it offers do work perfectly fine, I can’t help but feel that Sennheiser | EPOS missed some opportunities to include some premium-level functionality.
Software
If you are a PC gamer, you will be able to use the EPOS Gaming Suite software to customize the GSP 370. Unfortunately, the EPOS Gaming Suite is somewhat barebones when it comes to customization for the headset.
16
After downloading and installing the EPOS Gaming Suite software, you will be presented with the above screen. Here you will be prompted with updates for the GSP 370 and the dongle. I highly recommend that you update the GSP 370 to its latest software immediately after purchasing it because before I updated it, I had to plug the USB dongle in and out after every reboot to get Windows to detect it. This problem was completely solved after I updated the dongle and headset.
16
Next, we have the GSP 370’s EQ options. Located at the top right are audio presets that include; Music, eSports, Flat, and Movie. There is microphone gain at the bottom of the window, sidetone, noise gate, and noise cancellation control.
16
Lastly, we have the levels of the GSP 370, and in this part of the software, the user can switch between stereo and surround sound.
The EPOS Gaming Suite has come a long way from what it once was, and I’m very happy to see that being someone who reviews a lot of Sennheiser | EPOS audio products. There is still quite a lot of work to be done for it to become an awesome piece of audio software, but I imagine Sennheiser and EPOS are working on that very thing right now.
Sound Quality
I’m going to be combining both PC and PlayStation sound quality as a whole for this section even with the different sound options that you can adjust on PC.
Since this is a closed-back gaming headset, you’ll notice a richer sound for when you’re gaming or listening to music or watching videos. It adds a fuller effect, drowning out any surrounding noise that may be around you. Even better, that’s when having the volume as low as 20% on PC. I wasn’t able to hear anyone calling my name even with someone walking into my room and standing right next to me.
As for the usual gaming experience, I tend to find myself to be super focused when playing. So much to the point that all I was paying attention to while reviewing these headphones was the sound. I was impressed with the sounds being picked up — everything from zombies growling to shots being fired in Apex Legends, regardless if they were near me or not.
Overall, the excellent sound quality was what I expected since this is Sennheiser we’re talking about.
The search continues
Give me the comfort (and open-ear design) of the GSP 500 with the performance and wireless capability of GSP 370 and I’ll buy 10 of them to cycle through over the next decade. There’s simply not much missing from the GSP 370, and most of what is comes down to preference based on how it feels on your head. For the average user, the GSP 370 looks like a big winner. It stands with other high-end headset options and does so with wireless capability. If you’re shopping in the large end of the hat spectrum, though, you might want to pause and get out the measuring tape before buying.
This review is based on a Sennheiser GSP 370 Wireless Gaming Headset provided by Sennheiser. It’s available in retail and digital stores now for $199.95 USD.

Out of the box
I come from the school of thought that headsets shouldn’t require much setup. You plug them in, and you are largely ready to go, right? Well, that’s not entirely realistic when you’re going wireless, but the initial setup for the GSP 370 was straightforward. It required an install of the Sennheiser Gaming Suite software to handle things such as firmware, monitoring the battery life, and some advanced playback and recording options, but it was as painless as one could expect. The software itself has a slick UI which makes any of your customization needs painless.
The rest of the setup for the GSP 370 was related to the provided GSA 370 Wireless Dongle. It looks exactly like any USB thumb drive you’ve used, connects to a USB port effortlessly, and once connected is the final step in your GSP 370 setup. Well, minus flipping the switch on the headset itself to turn it on, but close enough.
Once you’re using the GSP 370, everything is intuitive. There’s the switch to turn it on and off, micro USB port to charge it, and a dial on the right ear to adjust the volume. It feels sturdy enough and, at 285 grams, maintains a light and low profile.
Case by case basis
My gaming time with the GSP 370 included titles like Destiny 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Long Dark, and even theHunter: Call of the Wild. I put it through several different games and vibes to get a good sense of the sound and it’s a quality experience. If you’re playing an FPS title, you’ll get the finer details, such as footsteps behind you letting you spin and fire. In The Long Dark, I was able to tell the footsteps of a wolf from a deer over the crest of a hill, and that right there is what I call a life-saving detail in my gaming audio.
These details are possible because the headset is classified as closed with earcups that fit around your ear. Basically, you won’t hear sounds around you. If you game in an office with your back to the door, folks can sneak up on you, as you’ll have a much harder time hearing things going on outside of your gaming experience. I prefer to use a headset that fits around my ear but is open, which is what you’d get from the Sennheiser GSP 500. With an open ear, you hear the environment around you and your game. Closed is better for details, so this comes down to need and preference. My preference is an open ear, but if yours is closed the GSP 370 is right up your alley.
